Bitunix vs Bitget: which one fits your way of trading better
By the NexoTrade team · Checked on October 18, 2026
They charge the same on futures, both have copy trading and neither is authorized in the European Union. What sets them apart is who’s behind them, security and where they can operate.
Depending on how you trade
- If you live in Argentina: Bitget, which is registered as a PSAV. Bitunix isn’t.
- If you want to know which company is behind it and who to complain to: Bitget, which says so in its terms. Bitunix doesn’t.
- If you’re worried about the security of your funds: both publish their proof of reserves. Bitget suffered a theft of about 388 million dollars on September 24, 2026, which it says it covered with its protection fund.
- If you trade spot with limit orders: Bitunix charges a bit less as maker.
- If you live in the European Union: neither is authorized under MiCA, so with either of them you trade at your own risk.

The buttons are in alphabetical order. With the code, neither of them opens an account for you that’s authorized under MiCA: if you live in the European Union, you use them at your own risk.
Fees, with the same example
Opening and closing a 10,000 USDT position at market on BTCUSDT costs about 12 USDT on Bitget and 12 USDT on Bitunix, not counting funding. With a VIP level, the fee goes down, and each has its own conditions.
Futures and copy trading
Both have USDT perpetuals. Bitget allows up to 150x on BTCUSDT and Bitunix up to 200x, but that changes nothing if you trade sensibly: more than 20x is very risky. Cross or isolated margin
Copy trading: Bitget, for futures, spot, and bots; Bitunix, for futures. What a trader made before says nothing about what you’ll make, and their losses get copied too.
